How work load impact on occupational stress?.

Work load can be recorded as the maximum capacity of the machine or any employee which they can bear up in the delivery of the desired outcome. The workload needed to have clear definition in job specification in each employee in order to have the clear understanding on the outcome required in the respective time (Lanz & Bruk‐Lee, 2017). Higher work load which reaches the unlimited level and unbearable level is causing higher impacts and recording in the disadvantages in the organizational setting.

Occupational stress can be recorded as the psychological stress in the working place which is caused due to many reasons. There are different disadvantages in the occupations stress and it is very important to avoided these to have the satisfactory outcome in the organization (Järvelin-Pasanen et al., 2018).

It is very important to understand the relationship between the workload and the occupational stress and the management of employees in better direction needs the identification of these applications. Along with this fact, it ca be seen that the occupational stress can be caused due to the higher level of workload in the organizations (Pace et al., 2021).

Disadvantages of higher workload;

Ø  Dissatisfaction of the employees

Ø  Reduction of the motivation of the employees

Ø  Occupational stress

Ø  Resulting absenteeism in the organization

Ø  Resulting higher turnover

Ø  Errors and wrong applications

Ø  Wastages of resources

Ø  Reduction of the efficiency of employees

Ø  Reduction of the overall organizational outcome

With these applications, it is very clear that the workload is resulting in the disadvantages in the organization which it includes the organizational stress as well.

As there are many works to be completed and the time allocated is lesser, individual employees in the organizations can get stress and it is resulting in different negative outcomes. Organizational stress is not a proper outcome and it can be resulting in many negative results for organization as well as for the employees (Vijayan, 2017). Accordingly, proper management of the workload is very important. There are different methods in the workload management and it is a responsibility of the human resource department and the higher managerial level to investigate the reasons in the workload occurrence and managing them in a positive manner to have the advantages in the future operations (Brough et al., 2018).

Conclusion

Employees have a limit in bearing and the work allocation needed to meet the limit rather than exceeding it. When the limit of the bearing is exceeded, the stress can be occurred. This is exactly what is undertaking in the organizations where occupational stress is facing by the employees. There are many reasons for the occupational stress while the workload is a main reason. Thus, there is a higher interaction among workload and occupational stress. In order to avoid these, proper management in workload is required in the operations.
